For over 20 years,  Pantone’s Color of the Year  has had a great influence on product development and purchasing decisions in numerous industries from design and fashion to home furnishing. A group of experts at the Pantone Color Institute carefully select The Pantone Color of the Year based on influencing factors such as the entertainment industry, films in production, new lifestyles, and new technologies.

Pantone Institute has selected PANTONE 17-3938 Very Peri as the color of the year for 2022. Known as the “global color authority,” Pantone chooses colors each year that are meant to serve as a reflection of what is happening in culture. Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of The Pantone Color Institute, elaborated on the color choices:

“As we move into a world of unprecedented change, the selection of Pantone 17-3938 Very Peri brings a novel perspective and vision of the trusted and beloved blue color family, encompassing the qualities of the bleus, yet the same time with its violet red undertone, PANTONE 17-3938 Very Peri displays a spritely, joyous attitude and dynamic presence that encourages courageous creativity and imaginative expressions.”
