Hire The Right Home Purchase Team

Is purchasing a home one of your resolutions for this year? Whether you are buying your first home or your fifth, the experience can be overwhelming. Having the right team behind you can make all the difference to ensure your home purchase goes smoothly. Following are the people you will need on your team:

Mortgage Planner  – The homebuying process starts with your mortgage company. A good mortgage planner will begin your journey with a conversation about your homebuying goals and financial situation, and they will determine a home-purchase game plan. Your mortgage planner is also an excellent resource for referring other members who could join your homebuying team.

Buyer’s Agent  – A real estate agent will work to help you find the perfect home. You will discuss your budget and your “must-haves,” and your real estate agent will search for homes that fit those needs. Additionally, once you have found the home you want to purchase, your real estate agent will help craft an offer and negotiate on your behalf.

Insurance Agent  – To obtain a home loan, you must have homeowners insurance. Your insurance agent will work with you to determine the right type of coverage and how much coverage you need.

Inspector    When you find your dream home, it is highly recommended to have a licensed home inspector do a full walkthrough and inspection of the home and property. This will reveal any issues that exist and that need to be negotiated before purchase.

While these are just a few members of the home purchase team, there are many other unsung heroes who take care of tasks behind the scenes and are never seen or appointed by the homebuyer.

Remember, when choosing members of your home purchase team, make sure they are a good personality fit. You will be spending a great amount of time with these people, and it is important to be able to communicate effectively. I would love to help you with your home loan and am happy to refer you to any of my trusted business partners. Call me today to discuss!
