With autumn in full swing, now is the perfect time to put your seasonal outdoor decorations on display and enhance your home’s curb appeal. From faux pumpkins to rustic gourd garlands, there are numerous ways to add fall elements that compliment your home’s architecture and leave your backyard looking stunning.

Here are five outdoor fall decorating ideas to showcase through Thanksgiving:

Pumpkin Planter: Pumpkins come in a range of colors, shapes, and sizes. Instead of placing pumpkins on your doorstep this season, you could pile them into planters for a change. If your planters are too deep, you can fit blocks of florist foam into them to create a fuller look and balance the gourds.

Decorative Lights: Don’t wait until Christmas to break out decorative lights. You can add a string of outdoor lights to porch railings and cast a warm glow over your backyard or patio space on those crisp autumn nights.

Raffia Wreath: Using orange-color raffia, a thin-gauge wire, and an unadorned wreath, bundle strands of raffia, twist the wire around the pinched center and attach to the wreath until it is completely covered. Make sure to fluff both sides of the raffia bundles so they flow in the same direction.

Gourd Candleholders: By cutting off the tops and hollowing out the center, you can convert gourds into candleholders! For a beautiful centerpiece, arrange them onto a tray alongside hedge apples, mini-pumpkins, or any other dried naturals. If the gourd is too big for a centerpiece, a good idea is to enclose your candle with a glass chimney and set the gourds on your porch.

Window Boxes: Pick some hardy plants to spice up your window boxes this fall. Flowering kales, celosias, and chrysanthemums are some popular selections for filling up window boxes in the fall.
